AKC Trick Dog Classes

The East-european dog on the white backg

Elite Pet University is proud to offer fun AKC Trick Dog classes! We have AKC-approved trick dog evaluators so that you and your dog can earn fun AKC Trick Dog titles ranging from Novice to Elite Performer. Tricks are a fun way for you and your dog to build your bond, become better trainers, and earn some titles at the same time! The tricks we teach in each class are tricks that will be fun and help you and your dog work towards the goal of earning AKC titles. At the end of each class, if you feel ready to test out to earn a title, let the evaluator know and you can earn your title that day!

Each trick dog class is divided up by the title level and we will work on tricks that are corresponding to that level. Each night will be different than the last, so you can attend as many trick classes as you need to feel ready for the AKC Trick Dog test.

What Dogs Would Do Well in this Class?

Trick Dog classes are great for a variety of dogs! These classes are first meant to be fun for the dogs and the owners. Here are the teams that would be the best to have in a trick dog class:

  • Dogs that love learning and want to build up their repertoire of skills

  • Owners that want to improve their skills as trainers

  • Owners that want to add titles to their dog

  • Owners that want to build a strong and fun bond with their dog

  • Dogs that need some confidence-building and help learning that training is fun

  • Dog and owner teams that want a pressure-free activity to do together

  • Owners that would like to learn some fun exercises to do with their dog to get energy out without having to go out into the inclement weather

  • Dogs that have a potential future in other dog sports

  • Owners that want to learn flashy, show-off tricks

  • Owners that want to learn fun tricks to help dogs focus more and work without a death-grip on a leash

Trick dog classes are fun for everyone from someone new to training to someone who is advanced and has lots of titles on their dogs already. Like our other group classes, dogs must be friendly and comfortable in an environment with other dogs and people. Dogs must be healthy and current on vaccinations for rabies, distemper/parvo, canine influenza, and bordetella vaccines (bordetella must have been given within the last 6 months). To register, click the button below and follow the steps. If you do not have a client profile already, it will ask you to create a profile before you can register for classes. No refunds will be given for any reason. Payment is required at time of registration to hold your place in class.
